Endeka Ceramics is firmly committed to managing its activities throughout the Group so as to protect the Environment and Health, Safety and Welfare of its employees, customers, visitors, contractors and those in the community who are potentially affected by its activities.
The Company regards Health, Safety and Environmental matters as mainstream management responsibilities, recognising Health, Safety and Environmental practices as an integral part of an efficient and sound business. Directors and line managers at all levels within Endeka Ceramics are directly responsible, through the normal management structure, for Health, Safety and Environmental matters in the activities under their control.
The Company is committed to providing sufficient financial and human resources to meet Health, Safety and Environmental commitments and objectives effectively.
The Group's health, safety and environment procedures are designed to achieve the following objectives:
- Meet legal and Group Environmental, Health and Safety requirements in all locations globally.
- Provide leadership and commitment reflecting the highest importance that the Board and senior management team place on Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
- Evaluate and manage risks that could give rise to accidents, incidents, work-related ill health and environmental impacts from Group activities.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, contractors, neighbours and other individuals or organisations affected by the business.
- Achieve continuous improvement in environmental, health and safety performance.
- Ensure that new investments incorporate best available technology and best available practice to eliminate or minimise risks to Health, Safety and the Environment.
- Achieve continuous raw material, energy and resource efficiency improvements through process and product development.
